An Introduction to Trauma Informed Practice.

The aim of this session is to develop an understanding of how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s) can impact neurological development and, therefore, our health, behaviours, relationships and social interactions.
We will explore ideas on how to support people who have experienced ACE’s.

Participants will learn:

  • The origin of Trauma research and the ACE’s study
  • What ACE’s are and how ACE’s affect brain development
  • Protective factors
  • How to develop an approach that is Trauma Informed and strategies to use with people in order to support them to make sense of their past and understand current behaviours rooted in past experiences

In order to really support the mental health and wellbeing of children & young people, it is extremely important to create a trauma informed practice so that we can create a safe, nurturing & healing environment for them to thrive.

This 2 hour online workshop is aimed at teachers, yoga teachers and anyone working with children & young people.
